In 1997
four artists from the South Side of Houston stepped
out to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
Marcus Price “MOC 3”, Ronnie
Oles “Raw Dawg”, Jonathan
Cole “Jay Rock”, and Carroll
Marbell “Lord Capone”.
MOC 3 and Raw Dawg
have been friends since the age of 14. In the middle
of 1997 Jay Rock moved from Little
Rock, Arkansas to Houston where he first met Moc
3 and they became friends. In college, Raw
Dawg met an up and coming artist by the name
of Lord Capone, and they became a tag
team duo. Raw Dawg, while working at
Mrs. Baird’s Bakery, met Dee Pettway from Notes
Management and Promotions where they began
to chalk up a management deal. Dee Pettway met the rest
of the guys and formed them into the group “Southern
Gladiators”. They went on to sign their
first record deal with the world renowned Cinque
Entertainment, Inc. They were the first rap
group on CE, Inc. and they
plan to be one of the hottest rap groups out of Houston.
The rap game is now up to par because these boys are
